poetry and haiga by gennepher

her cloak of blue ~ blended her into the skies ~ just a shimmer to be seen

buddha ~ sits facing ~ a row of dandelion clocks

frog jumps ~ in old pond of green duckweed ~ no splash can be heard

she walked ~ into a room ~ that did not belong there

the motorways in her mind ~ rumbled with traffic ~all day long

in white velvet pouch ~ the rainbow crystal earings ~ waiting to be worn

the thought was guarded ~ for so many years ~ one day it emerged...

her face hidden ~ by many masks ~ she wore each day

ethereal dancing ~ bare branches gently waving ~ the spirits along

out of the mirror ~ flew the raven carrying ~ a black inscribed stone

clouds ~ are seen but for a moment ~ then leave without a trace

the stone staircase ~ winding upwards ~ until they converged on an old wooden latched door

dancing ~ in the wind ~ she refused broken dreams

inconsequential things ~ remembered ~ clear and detailed

summer skies ~ were the intensest of blue ~ in my childhood

dog and I walk along the beach in silence ~ the dog is spooked she runs back to car ~ the sea is calling my name

staircases upwards and upwards ~ some carpeted and some not ~ the uppermost tower of my mind
